This site-specific production made a tongue-in-cheek transformation of the storefront theatre into a “discount bargain bin” annex of the trendy clothing resale shop next door. The set embraced a maximalist, junkpile aesthetic filled with mannequins, wig heads, and bizarre clothing pieces- anchored by a pink linoleum runway and an onstage dressing room. The HEDWIG letters that hung over the stage were salvaged from defunct neon signage, referencing other businesses in the local arts district and reinforcing the show's themes of self-identity, reinvention, and reclamation.
